I was unfortunate enough to use them in my first year at the university... We would save all our projects on them, write our ID numbers (0037164 and 0037144 :)) on those lines, and carry like a dozen because they're only 1.44 MB, and then when we put them inside the slot they'd make that sound, ugh!
The worst thing was when you'd spent all of last night saving files on them and the next day you get a message that says the disk is not formatted - format now? No do not format now thank you very much!!!
I don't know what reminded me of them, I seriously have no idea.

At least you didn't have to use the big 5-1/4 floppy disk with few kilo bytes :) The only good thing about them they were very light and thin we used to put them inside books or our notebooks.
oh so there is one good thing about them :)
no actually i haven't had the pleasure of using those :)
Welcome to my blog :)
Yeah, I remember those disasters, they cost me so many grades. I once had a presentation copied on 2 of them as a backup. but then the both didn't work. and I lost some points. Bad memories
